Infinx Healthcare
Led UX design for an AI-driven healthcare product — supporting Infinx's pivot from services company to product company in the prior authorization space.
The Challenge
Infinx was a healthcare services company looking to make a critical transition — from a manual, people-driven operation to a scalable, AI-powered product company. They needed to productize their prior authorization and revenue cycle expertise into software that hospitals and health systems could adopt.
My Role
As UX Lead, I drove user-centered design practices for the flagship software — including user research, prototyping, surveys, and full UX product specifications. I worked closely with stakeholders to define key product features and translate domain expertise into an intuitive interface.
The Approach
Healthcare software has notoriously poor UX. The users — billing specialists, prior auth teams, and revenue cycle managers — were drowning in manual processes and fragmented tools.
I conducted research with end users to map their workflows, identify pain points, and prioritize features. Then I designed an AI-assisted interface that automated routine decisions while keeping humans in the loop for exceptions — balancing efficiency with the trust that healthcare demands.
The Outcome
The product successfully launched, enabling Infinx to transition from a services-first to a product-first business model. The design established the foundation for the company's flagship AI platform, which continues to serve healthcare organizations today.
