A Final Call For Submissions

Many of you might know that I have a publishing company called Civitas Press.  We’re making a final call for submissions for our first community project.

—————————————————–

Greetings Civitas Family,

Many of you are aware of our first community project called, The Practice of Love.  So far we have over 34 submissions from 32 writers and the project is taking great shape. There are so many amazing stories of people wrestling with what is means to practice love, even when it’s hard.

We had a few writers have to drop out for various reasons, so I wanted to make a final call for submissions to the project.   The final deadline is February 15th and the submission must be in by that date.  This deadline is only for new submissions.  If you have a great story to tell about practicing love, either for God, the self, a neighbor, or even an enemy, we’d like to hear it. David Fitch, author of The Great Giveaway has agreed to write the foreward for the project.

The participants includes a fabulous list of voices and styles: Mihee Kim-Kort, Phil Shepherd, Alise Wright, Jason Coker, Kathy Escobar, Idelette McVicker, Rhonda delaMoriniere, Arthur Dimesdale, Todd Hiestand, Trevar Simmons, Marian Struble, Annie Bullock, John Martinez, Cheryl Dack, Amy Moffitt, Neal Hager, Lori Wilson, Kara Maddox, Melissa Cooper, Kris Socall, Hugh Hollowell, Carol Howard Merritt, Alan Knox, Raelene Roth, Anna Snoeyenbos, Jarrod McKenna, James Shelley, Trig Bundgaard, Ron Cole, Nathan Colquhoun, Mike Stavlund, Jake Kampe and Kimberly Knight.

You can find more information about the project here.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me here.

Much love
