The Cleaner

I don’t watch television much other a few shows with my kids or Sportscenter.  But I just saw the pilot for a show and the first thing I did was Tivo it.  It’s called The Cleaner.  It’s the story about a guy who helps people get clean from a self-destructive lifestyle, mostly drugs.  But mostly the show is about what it means to invest love in the people who aren’t always interested in receiving love, especially when you used to be one of those people.

But here’s the twist.  The guy talks to God in just about every other scene.  Get that.  God is an important character in the show.  And it is really well written.  You can watch the first episode on television here.

Well done, Hollywood.

  • Someone told me this show is based on a guy who really does this, which makes it all the more interesting to me. I haven't seen it yet, but hope to.
  • First thing I did was set up my DVR as well.

    I didn't know that God stuff though. Sweetened the pot for sure!

    Ok, That was great! I just watched the whole thing online. I love how Willie is not the perfect superstar that is portrayed in a lot of shows/movies. He has problems, is a broken human just like the rest of us.

    Hopefully A&E puts it online so I can watch.
