10-20-30 Virus

I got tagged.

Quick: What were you doing ten, twenty and thirty years ago?

10 Years Ago: I was settling into marriage of three years.  I was enjoying the strange phenomenon formerly known as the dot-com boom. My business was thriving and I was wondering what I did to be enjoying this blessing.  My business partner and I had just moved to downtown Willow Glen.  There was a Starbucks one block away, and a killer deli across the street with the best raviolis and cheesecake on the planet.  I had to drive all of three blocks to go to work.  (I should’ve walked, I know.)

20 Years Ago: I was moving into a new home that I would really never call home.  Strange to think that my dad just moved out of that house two weeks ago.  I would never really call the back bedroom mine because I was now at Biola University trying to start my film career.  Bad move. Los Angeles was not good for me but it was part of the journey.  I’m really glad I didn’t stay there.

30 Years Ago: I was dealing with my parents getting divorced. We had just moved into a new home and I had to get used to this new man (my stepfather) in my life.  I missed my dad terribly.  I was deeply confused and probably a tyrant to my parents.  Ten was perhaps one of the most wounding year of my life. I was good at soccer but this was the year I didn’t make the better team.  I was crushed not to be with all of my friends.  Nothing went right.

Okay now I tag: John, Jeromy, JeffAaron, and Makeesha.

10 years ago - had just found out that my (then) wife was pregnant. :)

20 years ago - dealt with my grandfather's suicide. :(

30 years ago - I was feeling intimidated by my 5th grade teacher, Mr. Wilson, and Wolters Elementary School. :0
