Rob Bell - The Gods Aren’t Angry Tour
August 8, 2007 by Jonathan Brink
Update: You can find my review here.
I consider Rob someone who is deeply influential in my life. I saw him in Sacramento at the “Everything Is Spiritual” tour. His presentation riveted the audience and did wonders in breaking down the wall between the sacred and the secular. I didn’t get to see the Sex God tour. Heard it was more of a dialog and Q&A, even though I wanted to go.
Now Rob is out with “The Gods Aren’t Angry” tour. I already got my tickets. I love the simple way Rob just gets in your face with the love of God. His mission is to convince people that God really, really, really does love us. What a concept.
So my question is, “Do you think God is angry?”

I’ll be angry if the Philly show is sold out before I can get tickets!
Yes.
Anger reveals the passion that stirs in us. Anger bleeds through when I care for my wife.
It reveals what matters to us. Angry men and women accomplish enormous good because they are willing to bleed for a vision or cause.
I know God fiercely cares about us. In this passionate anger, he fights for his bride.
If God isn’t angry at this world, he has no soul.
Yeah but what is he not mad at?
God’s anger and wrath towards us has been washed away by the blood of Christ.
I just went to see Rob’s tour in Denver and it was very good. Christians need to realize the awesome truth that because of Jesus, God is not angry at us. This truth is exactly what can set the non-Christ follower free.
I am in ministry and have had the opportunity to see many people delivered from past sin and pain. I have been a Christian for 32 years but never understood the depth of God’s love for me through the one and only Christ. That may seem funny coming from a life long beleiver but head knowledge and heart wisdom are not the same. As I sat in the audience last night God came and convinced me that I know where I stand with him, I no longer have to live a passionless life and he has forgotten everything I have done to grieve him in the past. I tasted true freedom. If you can, go and hear Rob deliver the truth like I have never heard it before!
Simply amazing.
Free at last!
Very nice John. I’m going tomorrow night and can’t wait.
How did you like Rob Bell?
I’ll let you know after tonight.
Just my tickets - have to drive to the States, no dates in Canada, but worth the drive!
I will let you know what I think after I see Rob!
